being clean…

I have heard from a lot of people most from respected and famous persons and read from signages, posters, written in walls, etc. the phrase “Cleanlines is next to Godliness” but i knew in my heart it seems something is missing or maybe wrong about it and yes it was wrong and that I heard it from one person, now my mentor Bro. Eli Soriano. The real phrase that should be used and that has also a basis in the book of logic and facts, most trusted by Christians a like “The Holy Bible” and it is written

“Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God. – 2 Cor. 1:7”

GOD Himself does not want uncleanliness or filthiness, He wants for His servants to be clean to be pure, not only in flesh but also in spirit and also it is written

“Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things. – Phi. 4:8”

That is why it is much more correct, better and Biblically to say that

“Cleanliness is Godliness”
